Get your skydiving license
Do you want to learn how to become a skydiver?
At Cleveland Skydiving Center we offer the Accelerated Free Fall program, or AFF, which will allow you to experience solo flight.
Instructor Assisted Freefall, often referred to as Accelerated Freefall, is an “accelerated” learning program which provides you with the fundamental training necessary to become an independent skydiver.
Similar to hiring a tennis or golf pro as a tutor, an AFF course provides instructor assisted skydiving lessons that help you develop the skills you need to become a licensed skydiver.
How the training works
1. Ground School
The Accelerated Freefall course at Cleveland Skydiving Center begins with five to six hours of ground training where you’ll learn skydiving fundamentals.
2. Tandem
Following your ground training, you will make a jump from 10,500 to 13,500 feet with one of our certified AFF instuctors as a Tandem skydive.
3. AFF Jumps
Your next skydive will be with two certified freefall instructors, who will accompany throughout the freefall portion of your skydive, from the moment you exit the aircraft until you deploy your canopy.
4. License progression
You’ll continue training, learning freefall and parachute handling techniques over approximately 25 jumps to complete the criteria for a USPA ‘A’ license.
